San Diego is referred to as “America’s Finest City” for many reasons.
San Diego is renowned for its idyllic climate, 70 miles of pristine beaches, and a dazzling array of world-class family attractions. San Diego offers an expansive variety of things to see and do and multiple world-class attractions, appealing to guests and residents of all ages from around the world.
With a city population of nearly 1.3 million and a county population of over 3 million. With 18 incorporated cities and numerous other charming neighborhoods, San Diego ranks as California’s second and the United States’ eighth-largest city. Within its borders of 4,200 sq. miles, San Diego County includes the historic downtown Gaslamp Quarter, Little Italy, Coronado, La Jolla, Del Mar, La Jolla, Carlsbad, Escondido, La Mesa, Hillcrest, Barrio Logan and Chula Vista just to name a few.
San Diegans are health conscious, and the temperate weather promotes outdoor activity. Numerous hiking trails are located both inland and on the coast. San Diegans often spend their weekends at the beach, boating, beach volleyball and sunbathing are common beach activities.
Data from the US Department of Labor noticed that in August 2021, approximately 4.3 million people walked away from their place of employment. The Great Resignation is being referred to as a result of dissatisfaction with pay and work schedules. The quality of working life is another issue that no longer interests people. Therefore, there must be a complete package of benefits and incentives, both in the workplace and off the job as well.
San Diego County Has It All
While living in San Diego is not particularly affordable, as a large and vibrant city, living in San Diego is definitely more affordable than other big California cities including San Francisco and Los Angeles. In spite of these high prices, San Diegans are willing to pay them, referring to the price difference as the “sunshine tax,” which is paid to enjoy the moderate weather year-round. Vast job opportunities, a welcoming and warm sense of community (San Diego is an LGBTQ-friendly city), the many beaches, Balboa Park, and let’s not forget the weather, are all reasons why this part of Southern California is exactly what you are looking for as a place to live.
