Communities We Serve – Banning, California

Taking into account the highly personal and sensitive nature of estate planning, the prospect of selecting an attorney to assist you with the creation of your plan may be a bit daunting.  At Dennis M. Sandoval, A Professional Law Corporation we understand how important your estate plan is to you as well as how difficult it can be to try and choose the right attorney to help you with your plan.  Our goal is to create a lifelong relationship with our Banning, California clients so that they feel comfortable and confident about the estate plan we create together and about any revisions made to that plan in the future.

Banning, California

Located in the San Gorgonio Pass between Mt. San Gorgonio to the north and Mt. San Jacinto to the south, lies the City of Banning. Named for Phineas Banning, the stagecoach line tycoon who developed a stage line between the Port of Los Angeles and Yuma, Arizona through the San Gorgonio Pass. General Banning also figures prominently in the history of the City of Wilmington, California, where he developed his shipping company transporting and receiving goods from the port facilities in San Pedro.

The first European settlor to make the area home was Dr. Isaac Smith in 1853. The fledgling settlement began right around the time of the Colorado River Gold Rush. Dr. Smith built a ranch to live in which became known as Smith’s Station. It later became the Highland Home and later, Highland ranch, which still exists as a ranch, restaurant and entertainment venue today.

Dennis M. Sandoval, A Professional Law Corporation in the Banning, California Community

Like General Banning and Dr. Smith, you may be looking to create your own legacy in Banning. An important part of any type of legacy planning is a comprehensive estate plan. At Dennis M. Sandoval, A Professional Law Corporation we understand how difficult it can be to choose the right estate planning attorney to assist you in the creation of your estate plan.  In fact, your choice of attorney can directly impact the success – or failure – of your plan. Our commitment to both the art of estate planning and to the community of Banning, California make us an ideal choice to assist you in the creation of your first estate plan and/or to help you update an existing plan.

A successful estate plan requires a solid foundation; however, that foundation must then be built upon and fortified to keep it strong. The bedrock of a comprehensive trust, which will protect you and your family in the event of incapacity, avoid probate, and provide for the distribution of your wealth pursuant to your wishes after your death. Additional components to a strong estate plan are a Pour Over Will, a power of attorney for property and an advance health care directive. If you have a loved one with a disability and that loved one is receiving government assistance, you will likely want to add a Special Needs Trust as part of your comprehensive estate plan.

Many residents of Banning are proud owners of guns and they want to assure that they can keep their guns and pass them on to family members after their disability or death. For those persons, a California Gun Trust is an important addition to the comprehensive estate plan.

Seniors may wish to protect their assets from the high cost of assisted living and nursing home costs. For those persons, a Long-Term Care Medi-Cal and/or VA asset preservation plan may be needed. The law firm also offers fiduciary services for those persons who need or want an independent, professional executor, trustee, agent, or conservator to manage their trust or estate assets.

The estate planning team at Dennis M. Sandoval, A Professional Law Corporation would be honored to be your choice to help you with your unique estate planning needs both now and in the years to come.
