Creating a comprehensive and cohesive estate plan is the most precious gift you can give to yourself and your loved ones. Given the importance of your estate plan, choosing the right estate planning attorney to help you create that plan should be given considerable thought and care. At Sandoval Legacy Group, A Professional Law Corporation, understand how difficult choosing an attorney can be, particularly given the highly personal and sensitive nature of estate planning. If you are a resident of Norco, California, we invite you to sit down with us and discuss your estate planning needs and goals and we hope to ultimately develop a lifelong relationship with you that will further those goals.
Covering just over 14 square miles, the City of Norco is located in Riverside County, California and had a population of 27, 063 residents as of the 2010 Census. Its name is a derivation of its original name – North Corona.
Norco is a unique community located in the northwestern tip of Riverside County. The original spirit of the town’s incorporation was to promote “City living in a rural atmosphere.” As a horse community, there are few sidewalks in the city of Norco. Instead you will find horse trails. Moreover, riders can ride to town and tie their horses at the many hitching rails and corrals placed close to businesses. Not surprisingly, many horse-related associations are a part of the city, including the Norco Horsemen’s Association and the Norco Junior Horsemen’s Association. Norco’s largest event center – George Ingalls Equestrian Event Center – also hosts events such as the Norco Rodeo and Norco Fair. In 2006, Norco began promoting itself as “Horsetown U.S.A.,” even pursuing a trademark for the logo.
Norco is also the home of the Norco Animal Rescue Team (NART). NART was founded after the October 2003 wildfires that savaged San Bernardino County and San Diego County. During the fires, Norco citizens banded together to provide a place of refuge for horses and other animals being evacuated from the fire areas. In the aftermath of these fires, the community of Norco recognized a need for an organized group to assist in the evacuation of mainly large animals who find themselves in dangerous situations as a result of floods, fires and other dangers. The team is capable of rescuing large animals from places such as canyons and ravines using the Anderson Sling and a helicopter. NART has mobilized during every major fire that has hit Southern California since 2004.
The Norco community comes together each year to celebrate the annual Norco Fair, run by community volunteers. The Norco Fair runs over the Labor Day Weekend, beginning on Thursday evening with the Miss Norco, Horsetown, USA Contest and continues until Monday, finishing with a Labor Day Parade down 6th Street. Events included at the Fair are the rodeo, rodeo dance, calf dressing competition, pageants, exhibitions, cowboy poker, wild cow milking, snail races, talent show, pet parade, and “Family Fun Day.”
Norco is also the home to The Norconian Resort Supreme. In 1926, Rex Clark discovered hot sulfur water in Norco, which led the entrepreneur to construct one of the finest and most comprehensive recreational facilities on the West Coast. It was the host of movie stars, Olympic Champions, and the richest of the rich. Unfortunately, the Great Depression led to its downfall a few years later. During WWII, the hotel served as one of the preeminent naval hospitals. The hotel still exists today, surrounded by the California Rehabilitation Center, Norco Community College and the Naval Surface Warfare Center.

As your life evolves, we are committed to ensuring that your estate plan evolves along with it.
Developing a lifelong relationship with your estate planning attorney is important because an estate plan is never truly finished. Instead, your plan will grow as you and your estate grow. Initially, your primary goal will likely be to ensure that you do not leave behind an intestate estate in the event of your death. As both your estate and your family grow, however, your estate plan will need to grow along with them. If you get married and/or become a parent, the addition of estate planning tools and strategies designed for parents with minor children will become important. As your estate grows in both complexity and value, you should consider adding probate and tax avoidance as well as asset protection strategies to your overall estate plan. By middle age, you should also be thinking about long-term care planning which may include Long Term Care Medi-Cal planning and VA Aid and Attendance planning. You will also need to ensure that your existing retirement plan works in harmony with your estate plan to further protect your growing estate. Finally, you may wish to consider adding advanced directives as well as funeral and burial planning to your estate plan to ensure that your wishes will be honored at the end of your life. The estate planning team at Sandoval Legacy Group, A Professional Law Corporation would be honored to be your choice to help you with your unique estate planning needs.
